Privacy Policy

Draft, pending attorney review. Clear Scope Home has not launched. This policy describes how we intend to handle information for the waitlist and, after launch, for our reports and takeoffs.

1. Who we are

Clear Home Scope LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as Clear Scope Home ("Clear Scope Home," "we," "us"), Chehalis, Washington, operates this website and its Remodel Budget Checker, Detailed reports with plans, New Construction takeoffs, contractor tools, and Claim Ready Kit (coming soon). 2. Information we collect

• Waitlist signups: your email address, the role you choose (Homeowner, Contractor, Adjuster, or Builder), the product you were interested in, the ZIP code if you had already entered one, and the time you signed up.
• Project details: the answers you enter in our tools, like room type, size, ZIP, scope, finish level, and home construction basics. Right now these are processed only in your browser to show example estimates. They are not sent to us unless you sign up for the waitlist, and then only the ZIP goes with your signup.
• Uploaded plans and photos: right now, files you select stay in your browser and are never uploaded. After launch, files you choose to submit with a paid order will be sent to us and processed to generate your report or takeoff.
• Payment information (after launch): payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We will not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited details such as your name, email, billing ZIP, and the last four digits of your card.
• Technical information: like any website, our hosting provider receives basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) to deliver and secure the site.

3. How we use it

• To tell you when products launch and send any launch discount you signed up for.
• After launch: to generate, deliver, and support the reports and takeoffs you buy, process payments and refunds, and send messages about your order.
• To understand which products and regions people are interested in, using combined data.
• To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and comply with the law.

Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe from marketing.

4. We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not give homeowner contact details to contractors unless you clearly opt in to be contacted, a feature that is not offered yet.

5. Service providers

We use service providers that process data on our behalf and only for providing our service:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security, and storage of waitlist entries (Cloudflare KV).
• AI providers (after launch): to read uploaded plans or photos and generate report content. We will choose providers that don't use your files to train their models.
• Email provider: to send launch notices and order emails.
• Payment processor (after launch): to take payments.
• Google Fonts: this draft site loads the Inter font from Google, which receives your IP address and browser information when the page loads.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. In that case, this policy will keep applying to your information.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep waitlist entries until launch and for up to 24 months after that, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. After launch, order records will be kept as long as needed for the service, taxes, and accounting. Uploaded plans and photos will be deleted after a set period that we will state at launch. To ask for access or deletion, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We may need to verify your request.

7. Cookies and analytics

This draft site does not set advertising cookies and does not use analytics or tracking pixels. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. If we add analytics later, we will keep it minimal, prefer privacy-friendly tools, and update this policy first.

8. Children

Our service is meant for adults planning home projects. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. U.S.-only service

Our service is offered for projects in the contiguous United States, and data is processed in the United States. It is not intended for people outside the U.S.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we have about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your personal information;
• Get a copy in a portable format;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (we do not do these);
• Not be discriminated against for using these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected]. An authorized agent may make a request for you where the law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Washington residents: our service is not designed to collect "consumer health data" as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act, and we do not ask for it. Please don't include health information in project details or uploads.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to stored data. No system is perfectly secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will give notice on the site or by email before it applies.
